Stop the spread of germs that can make you and others sick!Influenza (flu) and other serious respiratory illnesses like respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), whooping cough, and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) are spread by cough, sneezing, or unclean hands.
To help stop the spread of germs
1. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
2. Put your used tissue in the waste basket.
3. If no tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow, not your hands.
4. You may be asked to put on a facemask to protect others.
5. Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds.
6. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub

Most kids between the ages of 5 and 12 need 10 to 11 hours of sleep each night. We'll show you some animals and you choose which one needs more sleep — the kid or the animal. We'll keep score so you'll know if you're a sleep star or a snore loser! KidsHealth.org

"5-2-1-0 Healthy NH" is a statewide public education campaign to bring awareness to the daily guidelines for nutrition and physical activity. Its message is simple and clear and represents some of the most important steps families can take to prevent childhood obesity: 5 Fruits and vegetables…more matters! Eat fruits and vegetables at least 5 times a day. Limit 100% fruit juice. 2 Cut screen time to 2 hours or less a day. 1 Participate in at least one hour of moderate to vigorous physical activity every day. 0 Restrict soda and sugar-sweetened sports and fruit drinks. Instead, drink water and 3-4 servings/day of fat-free/skim or 1% milk. |
